Something for the 0-11s!
We believe it is vitally important that we invest in the discipleship of our children. We run sessions in various Sunday groups that are designed to be fun, engaging and life-shaping. We are looking for our children to learn about God, encounter him, lead each other and also lead us. Children are one of God's gifts to us and so we want to take them seriously, and let them have loads of fun too!
Our Sunday Groups
The following groups meet during every Sunday 10:30am celebration. We all join together in the church first, then children head to their groups before returning (or being collected) at the end.
Jelly Babies (0-2 years)
Our youngest group! A dedicated team of volunteers help to look after our youngest members with toys, simple games, story time and cuddles for those that need it! Parents are welcome to stay with their child or leave them with the leaders. Rest assured, if your child won't settle, we will come and find you.
Jelly Tots (2-4 years)
For those young children who are perhaps a bit too old for Jelly Babies, this group provides more movement with tractors, kitchens, trikes and loads of other toys. Plus we do some crafts and have story time too. Parents are welcome to stay, although we find that children are normally having too much fun!
Bubbles (Reception and Year 1 Children)
Our age group for children in their first two school years. We do more singing and playing, with some praying and listening to God for our friends and families. Everyone in Bubbles has a great time!
Splash (School Years 2 & 3)
Moving up through the ages is our Splash! group, intentionally covering the final year of infant and first year of junior schools.
Wave (School Years 4, 5 & 6)
The older junior school children ride the Wave! of fun in this Sunday morning group in our Trinity Hall building, with games, crafts and times of encounter with God. They're old enough to come back to parents (supervised, of course).
IMPACT! (School Years 7, 8 & 9)
This group runs alongside our Friday evening group but has a greater focus on discipleship and worship.
Our Space (SEN)
In addition to our regular groups, we are very aware that a number of children may have special educational needs and cannot easily be looked after in the same way as the other groups. We are pleased to have a team of dedicated volunteers who help look after our SEN children, whether that is to provide 1-1 support within another group or to provide a separate activity. Church is something everyone should be involved in and we would like to help you if this is something you need. Please do contact us first so we can work out what would be best in your situation.
