Network Mission-Shaped Communities are for people within the church who share a common interest or specific network of friendships. These are based all across the city of Leicester, and seek to bring their friends closer to God through the way they live and share what God is doing in their lives. These MSCs seek to walk with God together, share life, create community and reach their network of relationships with the good news of Jesus.
Reaching our local communities in South Leicestershire for Jesus
Anchor is a group of mature adults who bring a depth and breadth of experience of life, who love and support one another. Many contribute to the wider life of the church in various ways, such as prayer ministry, service coordinators, welcome team and the like. Many are also involved in non-Christian work and local community life.
Blue Mountain Crew is a group for men who want to grow closer to God and serve practically.
We meet weekly for lunch, bible study and to do practical jobs around the church. It is a great place for friendship and to grow in faith. We also go on occasional trips out and once a year go on a short holiday in the peak district.
Connecting Christ, Community and Creation
Greenlight is a community that recognise God’s hand in all of creation and we seek to encourage people to look at the Earth with new eyes. We meet regularly to support each other in our walks with God and have regular worship events - often outside. We meet for Forest Church in a school woodland, local park and hold events to connect with our local community such as clothes swaps and apple press days. We support environmental groups such as ARocha (nationally), Friends of the Earth and Refiesta (locally). We love sharing food together and have often have Eat-ings around a bring and share meal.
Hearts Open to People Everywhere
Hope is a beautiful group of people who have experienced life through the lens of difficulties such as learning disabilities, mental health issues and homelessness. Or who simply want to be part of this diverse community. We are known as Hope not only because our Hearts are Open to People Everywhere but because we carry a hope from God for ourselves, each other and the community around us.
Our Vision is to be loving, caring and supportive to each other, demonstrating Christian Values, while reaching out to others.
We are an MSC for Ladies, meeting every Wednesday morning during term time to have fun and enjoyment discussing current topics over coffee and cake. We meet mainly in Oadby and occasionally visit to bless each other’s homes.
Seeking to serve the church and our city.
We are a community of adults seeking to live out our faith through loving and serving one another and the city around us. We enjoy spending time with one another and encouraging each other to share our faith and live for God.
